Manchester United’s Boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a legend and everybody in the football world would most probably agree. However could the great Sir Alex who has taken United to so many victories be their eventual downfall.
The Boss has just celebrated his 71st birthday, and reported to the press he thinks he will continue for another 2/3 years but agrees he cannot go on for ever. This is the concern, what happens when he does eventually vacate the most prestigious and daunting job in the football world.
There’s so many different opinions on who should take over the reigns of Man United once Sir Alex decides to retire but when it really comes down to the crunch there’s only two or three people in football today with the qualities to coach Man United, those being Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and possibly David Moyes.
With Pep Guardiola available now and Mourinho going through some troubled times at Real Madrid would the wise move be for Alex Ferguson to take a job upstairs over seeing everything while they appoint one of coaches this summer.
The fear for me is if Fergie was to stay for say another 2 years and these said coaches went to the likes of Chelsea and Man city or other, we could really be in a situation where there is nobody with the right qualities or charisma to take over from the Boss.
What are your thoughts is it the right time for Sir Alex to stand down ?

You are right. But Sir Alex is most times cunning. I feel this is his last season. Meeting twice with Guardiola means something fishy is gonna happen. You never can tell.
i think Sir Alex can go on as long as he want, whenever he retires jose or pep, moyes one of them must accept the offer. They all love to manage united.
